For the past five years, Project Safe Birth has been a beacon of hope for expectant mothers, providing safe birth kits and essential health education. We’ve impacted over 20,000 women during this time, changing lives, one delivery at a time.
Now, we’re building on this foundation by going digital with ImmuniTrack, our innovation that teaches mothers how to use Google Calendar as a simple, free immunization reminder system. Because in maternal and child health, even one missed vaccine can change a child’s future, and we believe technology should be part of every mother’s support network.
Why this matters: Nigeria’s Immunization Crisis
- An alarming 31% of Nigerian children aged 12–23 months miss essential vaccinations, with only 39% fully immunized Nairametrics.
- In 2024, Nigeria accounted for 2.1 million “zero-dose” children—those who never received a single vaccine—more than any other country, Businessday NG.
- Globally, a staggering 14.5 million infants missed DTP vaccine doses in 2023 Wikipedia.
These numbers highlight the urgency for innovative, community-driven solutions like ImmuniTrack.
