On Children’s Day 2024, smiles and laughter filled the air at Osuke-Ota community in Ogun State as Motherhood NG Initiative, in collaboration with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative (LFBI), held a memorable outreach tagged Project Hope for Children.
The event was more than just a celebration—it was a lifeline of support and kindness for over 110 children, who received nutritious raw food, hygiene items, and essential supplies. For many families in the community, this support came at just the right time, offering relief and hope in the midst of daily struggles.

Children’s Day is not just a day of fun—it is a reminder of the importance of investing in the next generation. At Motherhood NG Initiative, we believe that every child deserves access to good nutrition, education, and a healthy environment to thrive. Sadly, in underserved communities, children often face malnutrition, poor hygiene, and limited access to basic needs.
Through this outreach, we were able to address some of these challenges by providing:
- Raw food items to improve household meals.
- Nutrition support to fight malnutrition and hunger.
- Hygiene supplies to promote health and prevent avoidable illnesses.
These may seem like small items, but for the children and their families, they are a step toward better health, confidence, and a brighter future.

Motherhood NG Initiative
One of the highlights of Project Hope for Children was the partnership with Lagos Food Bank Initiative (LFBI). As one of Nigeria’s leading food banks, LFBI has been at the forefront of tackling hunger and malnutrition across the country.
Their contribution provided much-needed food and nutrition packs, enabling us to expand our reach and impact. This partnership is proof that when nonprofits join forces, the results are powerful and transformational.
Together, we created a safe space for children to not only receive essentials but also feel seen, celebrated, and valued on their special day.
